چکیده
Abstract Considerable disparities exist in the prevalence of Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia (ADRD) older African American (AA) populations compared to white populations. Given need for caregiver interventions family caregivers from racial ethnic minority groups that hold potential translation, implementation, sustainability their communities, peer-led, lay provider models may offer promise. We developed Senior Companion Program Plus (SCP Plus), a peer-led psychoeducational program AA (CGs) provided by Companions (SCs). Guided sociocultural stress coping model, study was randomized controlled trial assessed effects SCP on ADRD caregivers’ burden, skills, social support. Although COVID-19 ended early, participants included Companion-Caregiver dyads (N=20). Friedman tests non-normally distributed variables, one-way repeated measures ANOVA normally post hoc between group significance were conducted. CGs reported significantly decreased caregiving burden (F(2,6) = 17.65, p 0.003) especially pre- follow up-tests, as well increased at post-test 4.93, 0.05), satisfaction with support (χ2(2) 6.53, 0.04), positive aspect 0.04) (especially post-tests up-tests). Implications future research are offered lessons learned culturally congruent, caregivers.

Nu Nurse residency program: a promising, yet neglected strategy for the education of senior nursing students
Quality and safety of patient care remarkably depend on the competency of healthcare providers. As predominant caregivers, nurses crucially influence the quality of patient care (1). On the other hand, as major educational organizations, nursing schools must offer competent expertise to the students in order to warrant high-quality patient care. In this regard, finding efficient methods to grad...

متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
The senior companion multiagent dialogue system
This article presents a multi-agent dialogue system. We show how a collection of relatively simple agents is able to treat complex dialogue phenomena and deal successfully with different deployment configurations. We analyze our system regarding robustness and scalability. We show that it degrades gracefully under different failures and that the architecture allows one to easily add new modalit...
متن کاملPersonalizing Senior Caregiving via Videotaped Biographies
There is currently a movement to promote “culture change” in long-term care facilities for the elderly. One goal of this movement is to make resident care more person-centered rather than institution-centered. Of interest in this research was an exploration of conditions under which a videotaped biography of a senior citizen could be used to create more personalized relationships between reside...
